Once again, Joya de Nicaragua embarks on a new edition of IPCPR, the oldest, largest and most active trade association representing and assisting premium retail tobacconists and their suppliers. Being the year of our 50th anniversary we were particularly honored to attend the trade show and share with the cigar community some of the surprises we have in store this year. In this case, the launch of Joya Silver and our commemorative anniversary cigar, Cinco Decadas.

Hosted in sunny Las Vegas from July 24-28, it was three and half days of cigar immersion with 900 stores in attendance. According to Halfwheel, “the overall attendance was 5,328 people over the five day event, which includes retailers, manufacturers, media, guests, brokers, suppliers, and other invited guests. Of that number, a total of 2,054 retailer badges were issued, which represents 778 retailer companies and 1,742 total stores.”

Our New Releases

In the year of our 50th anniversary, we want to be recognized as a cigar factory that delivers the expected timeless quality of a Nicaraguan cigar, but that is also willing to evolve and take on new challenges. This is why we have solidified our portfolio with two new releases.

Joya Silver

Joya Silver is a box pressed cigar that delivers a dynamic complexity of fresh spice, chocolate, and cherry notes. Its oscuro upper-priming wrapper showcases the perfect complement between the richness of the Nicaraguan fillers and the refined sweetness of the Ecuador grown wrapper and Mexican binder. The result is a medium to full body smoke that achieves an indulging matching of flavors.

Cinco Decadas

Cinco Décadas is about celebrating being first, being best or just being. It is a testament of the ultra premium quality that characterizes the JDN family, made exclusively with prime extra-vintage leaves. It carries an immaculate balance accompanied by sweet and spicy notes. Its silky smooth smoke delivers a rich and fulfilling experience.

Our Time There

The first day of IPCPR, JDN got together with the Drew Estate team and cheered for over 10 years working together, for the 50th anniversary of JDN and the Nicaragua tobacco industry and of course, for the next 50 years.

On the remaining days and we enjoyed sharing with all of the attendees at the main showroom floor. On one of the most special nights, we got to do a cut a light ceremony of Cinco Decadas at The Venue in Old Las Vegas. Juan Martínez and Dr. Cuenca preceded the ceremony where all attendees got to enjoy a Cinco Decadas, El General for the first time.
